Top Eight Shoe Trends for Fall and Winter 2011/2012

By Jessica Marie V. Sullivan

Just as the clothing trends are diverse this year, so are the shoe trends. In 2011, designers have given us various styles of different textures to match our mood and personality. As to the popular colors, dark blue, chocolate, metallic, beige and burgundy are in. As always, we stick to darker hues and earth colors for fall and winter. Let's save those bright hues for summer and spring.

1.Suede. Suede consistently makes it to the list of shoe trends this time of year. Suede matches the mood of the season and is perfect for that casual, chic look.

2. Reptile Skin. This season we see a lot of models walking down the catwalk wearing shoes made from crocodile or snake leather. of course. This trend can be a bit tricky to follow since you'll have to carefully match your reptile skin footwear with an outfit that won't make you look cheap. You could go really bold by choosing bright hues, or opt for a more natural look with neutral toned reptile skin shoes.

3. Satin. Satin shoes are gorgeous as they always carry that sense of of timeless elegance. They're great for formal occasions. Wear them with a long dress or pencil skirt and prepare yourself to receive lots of compliments.

4. Socks in Shoes. Yes, it's now fashionable to wear socks in stilettos, oxford shoes and pumps. This look is for the fashionistas and those who are not afraid of getting a bit of attention. This look is quite popular in Japan with young women following this trend for quite a while now. This look is cute, fun and sassy.

5. Spike heels. There's nothing sexier than spike heels. This shoe is perfect for an exciting night out with friends or a romantic date.

6. Leather. In autumn or winter, leather boots are a must-have. This season however, designers have showcased leather in a myriad of styles as seen in leather pumps, stilettos and platforms.

Choosing Shoes To Match The Occasion

Choosing Shoes To Match The Occasion

Choosing Shoes To Match The Occasion

By Simon Barnett

How many pairs of shoes do you own? That may seem like a strange question, but your answer may reveal quite a lot about your social behaviour and sense of style. Although women are more often associated with extensive footwear collections, men are often in need of many shoes too.

One of the reasons for this is that we usually require a range of footwear in order to deal with differing social situations. This may come as a surprise to some! It's certainly the case that some people don't choose to draw any sort of distinction between different situations. It may also be true to say that they can look somewhat out of place as a result. You may have identified this issue already.

So how can you ensure that you are suitably dressed? Shoes are likely to be an integral part of the overall appearance that you create. Although they are sometimes dismissed as being accessories, the reality is that the wrong shoes tend to create a negative impression.

Good examples of this might include an individual wearing sandals to a job interview, or other formal occasion. Some might reason that there is no reason why sandals should not be worn. There is an argument that suggests that we are now used to a lower level of formality. This is obvious in the workplace, for example, where it's become more common for some men to shun suits.

But there are still occasions when it's necessary to look the part. Your shoes are certainly a major part of that. You obviously need to think carefully about the occasion and about the clothes that you will be wearing.

Brown shoes, for instance, can clash rather terribly with black trousers. Similarly, black leather shoes that might be appropriate within an office environment could leave you feeling somewhat silly if you choose to wear them on the beach. It's all about making choices. Some of these choices require little more than common sense.

You may feel that you don't have enough of a sense of style to be able to make the right decisions. There may be a worry that you'll opt for inappropriate footwear, without even realising that you are making a significant mistake. If this sounds like something that could have an impact on you, it may be worth asking for advice.

You probably have friends or family members who would be able to help. If you're intending to buy shoes online, then you might want to get a second opinion before choosing your final purchase. There's usually little harm in delaying such a decision in order to ensure that you make the right choice.

Choosing the Right Shirt for an Autumn Event

Choosing the Right Shirt for an Autumn Event

Choosing the Right Shirt for an Autumn Event

By Jamie Simpson

Just like their female counterparts, men can look fashionable as well. In fact, when men dress up, they appear especially distinguished and charming.

With the weather turning comfortably cool, autumn is the perfect season for many events to happen, and each event requires a certain dress code. Whether the events are casual or dressy, wearing the appropriate attire always makes a man look respectable. Therefore, choosing the right shirt for an autumn event becomes an essential task.

Wedding

Many couples choose to get married in autumn. With golden leaves and subtle sunset as a backdrop, who wouldn't want a wedding in such a romantic atmosphere?

If you plan to attend an autumn wedding, you need proper attire that's dressy and shows off this season's newest retro trend. This includes boot-cut trousers, long jackets, saddle shoes and skinny ties. The ideal look is cool, refined and dressy but without trying too hard. A retro shirt, then, is one with solid patterns and muted colours. Hues such as slate, brown or black all work well.

Camping

Another trend this fall is the woodsman look, which includes hunting boots, puffy vests, and wool jackets. All these elements keep you warm but also make you look cool. It's a tougher look than the retro but perfect for a hiking and camping trip. For shirts, flannel works the best. Try flannel shirts with thick material and large prints to show off your outdoorsy side.

The Races

Going to the races is one of autumn's favourite activities. If you plan to join friends for a day at the races betting on horses or dogs, then the preppy look is perfect for this occasion. Put on a pin-striped button up or a collard tee over a pair of straight khakis. This look gives you a sophisticated but also young, smart and professional look.

Theatre or Local Band

When the weather gets chilly, indoor activities become more popular. If you plan on going to the theatre or to see a local band, then try this season's smart casual look. The tailoring trend is always popular come autumn, and this year tailoring has become more casual. The catwalks have been filled with this loose tailored look which allows you to look smart without trying too hard.

Coffee Shop

If you are the type who likes spending a quiet night with a book at the local coffee shop, then head out with a preppy pinstripe or checked shirt, a sweater vest, bow tie and thick-rimmed glasses. This look is intellectual and witty, and makes the perfect ensemble for a night next to the fire place, sipping a frothy latte.

Dinner Parties

Dinner parties with friends are always popular events in autumn. Before everyone sees their family for the holidays, they usually get together with friends. For dinner parties, smart shirts with sweaters over trousers or dressy jeans work the best. If you're just with friends, you may not want to dress up in a full suit because it can look stuffy, but you also don't want to look too casual. Sweaters give you enough class but keep you from looking pretentious.

However, if you are attending a dinner party where a suit may be necessary, you could team your suit with a crisp white shirt and a coloured tie, bow-tie or cravat and a matching handkerchief for your top pocket.

How to Create a Vintage Chic Look This Autumn

How to Create a Vintage Chic Look This Autumn

How to Create a Vintage Chic Look This Autumn

By Jamie Simpson

Autumn comes, with starting back into the school year and cooler weather. Everyone makes transitions in their wardrobe. Some seem to do it effortlessly, but most of us secretly have a little trouble. Remember those classy, lovely women from sixty and seventy years ago? The change of seasons never caught them unaware, wondering how to keep up a fashionable appearance once their sundresses were put away. Why not take a cue from vintage fashion to create an effortless transition into your autumnal look.

- Have a Good Understanding of Vintage Style

If you want to replicate vintage fashions, it is important that you know what characterised the fashions of each era. Spend time looking over old fashion magazines, coffee table books about classic film stars, websites dedicated to vintage fashion. Figure out what decades suit your personality. Determine what styles from those eras flatter your figure. Make a list, if it helps. Then when looking through your closet or going shopping, keep these styles in mind.

- Know the Current Trends

Just because some styles were popular back in the day doesn't mean that they are an automatic success now. Fur coats, pinafores, shift dresses and baggy sleeves are stunning examples of vintage clothing styles that are popular today. If you stay on top of trends, you can pick out vintage clothing with more success. From colours to textures, silhouettes to skirt lengths, knowing what is in will keep you from making mistakes when wearing vintage styles.

- Combine Retro with Modern for a Classy Look

With an understanding of both vintage and what is acceptable in today's fashions, you have a blank slate to work on. Your surest success rests on mixing old with new. Wear the antique shirt dress with a really big, bright necklace and the tough, trendy boots. A fur coat from a vintage clothing store becomes that go to coat to wear with jeans on the weekend or an evening gown. Autumn means you get to layer more, so mix your cuddly granny sweaters with jeans and tee shirts and your brand new jackets with vintage dresses.

- Get Ready For Autumn

Cooler weather means you get to play with more outerwear. Vintage eras are famous for the gorgeous array of coats, hats and gloves. If you can find a few favourites in antique stores, you'll be well on your way to having a polished, ladylike vintage look. As you concoct mixtures of your summer wardrobe and autumn jackets and tights, and as you blend the modern flavours of classic retro styles, keep in mind what made those ladies from the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s so chic. A big part of it was an understanding of style and colour, the dance of balance between boldness and subtlety. But much of it was also confidence, comfortableness in their own skin, knowing that they were women of worth whose decisions about what they wore were just right. Their autumn wardrobe worked because they believed it would.

You can find a wide range of vintage clothing at ASOS Marketplace.

Choosing a Gift of Lingerie for Your Lady

Choosing a Gift of Lingerie for Your Lady

By Maralaina Holliday

One of the greatest challenges faced by modern man is entering the lingerie shop to purchase a gift for his wife. This act; when done with loving intention, is one of the most endearing moves a man can make. For the man; the privilege of selecting a gift of lingerie somehow signifies a "right of passage" into the intimacies of her real world.

His First Venture into the Lingerie Shop. For the average male; not only is this "bra paradise" unfamiliar territory; but his very presence here seems to proclaim "I'm in an intimate relationship with a woman". A surrounding audience of female shoppers doesn't make it any easier. Bewildered, somewhat bashful, and a little uncomfortable... the man faces his first hurdle. The friendly sales lady asks him: "what size bra does she wear?"

Enter "The Man who Knows" As lingerie professionals, we sigh in admiration at the veteran-lingerie-client who can walk in and take a casual look around; carefully select a few items and confidently approach the sales person for advise on size and colour availability. This man actually knows her bra size! This is the rare man. There are not too many. What we do know about him is that he has not attained this level of knowledge and confidence overnight. No... there definitely had to have been some pitfalls and setbacks along the way. Another sigh... as he walks through the door carrying his carefully wrapped testament to glory.

Now...for the rest of you out there; here are a few pointers.

Know Her Size. If at all possible, try to find out her size ahead of time. It's really simple. All you have to do is jot down those little numbers from the tag inside one of her bras; usually located at the back of he band, near the hooks. If in doubt; get the numbers off two bras. We'll figure out the rest. The ladies at the lingerie shop really need to know this stuff; especially if you're shopping for a fitted piece; like a bra, bodysuit, corset, or teddy. Stretching out your arms and cupping your hands (like you do for gauging the size of "the one that got away") and saying "oh she's about this big" just won't cut it here.

Hint: Unless your lady is super self-confident about her body image; and you really do know her size; choose something classy and not too fitted.... There is nothing like asking her to model her new "outfit" for you, and having her feel embarrassed when the panties are too small or the cups too big. Unfortunately; this uncomfortable little scenario is played out a lot more often than even women would like to admit.

Something partially sheer; but not blatantly risque is more likely to make her feel special. Remember that if she loves it; she'll love wearing it again and again...for you.

Browse Around. You probably have a fairly good of idea of what your lady likes, and perhaps some fun things she might like to experiment with. Some questions that will come up are "lace or smooth", "molded, contoured, push-up". Try to take a few minutes to browse the store on your own. Sales people can seem quite daunting at times; (their job) but you can request some time to gather your wits about you in this unfamiliar territory before answering questions. By taking some time to "clear the fog" and familiarize yourself with colours and styles, there's a good possibility that something will catch your eye. And that's a good start!

Consider Her Tastes. Does she tend toward flowing feminine styles? Is she dramatic? Does one particular colour seem to dominate her wardrobe?

If this is kind of new to the both of you; something partially sheer; but not blatantly risque is more likely to make her feel special. Remember that if she loves it; she'll love wearing it again and again...for you.

Consider a Gift Certificate. High-end lingerie shops usually sell gift certificates. Giving her a gift-certificate will insure that she'll get a free professional bra-fitting; and she'll be advised on which brands are best for her lifestyle and figure-type. Your lady-love will probably be quite amazed at just what a good bra can do for her!

Be Consumer-Wise. It helps to have some idea of the general price-range of the store's merchandise. It is not unusual (in some of these shops) to see guy dazed with sticker-shock, as he mutters something incoherent; while heading for the door. Specialty lingerie-shops can indeed, be quite pricey, because they carry the "cadillacs" of their field. If you're in doubt, you could always phone the store ahead of time and ask for their average price for a bra-panty set. That will give you a fairly good idea. A first-class lingerie set usually ranges from $250 - $350+ This is where you'll find names like Simone Perelle, Lise Charmel and Empriente. Think of it this way - it's the stuff the movie stars wear in the films.

Be sure to confirm the store's return/exchange policy. Usually items (except for very intimate panty, thong, briefs and swimwear) are exchangeable within a specified time frame; provided the tags are attached and you have the sales receipt.

Choose Quality over Quantity. Add something to her closet that she will love to wear again and again, and will make her feel special. As any owner of fine lingerie can tell you; it's better to have one really great bra that fits, than a drawer full of stuff that you can't wear.

Enjoy! A gift of lingerie can be on one of those gifts that truly keeps on giving, as you are reminded each time she wears it; that you are truly a wise man. You are competent in you choice of a partner as well as your choice of fashion.

Great Gifts She Can Wear All Year Round: Valentine's Necklaces

Great Gifts She Can Wear All Year Round: Valentine's Necklaces

By Jonathon Blocker

For lovers everywhere, Valentine's Day is that one special day when you will want to remember your beloved with something special. Although you could buy chocolates or flowers, they are perishable items that have a short lifespan. It makes sense, if you wish to give a gift that will last a lifetime, to consider jewelry as some of the best Valentine's Day gifts for her. Even after the event of the holiday is over, she will appreciate your thoughtful gift and will wear it throughout the year in remembrance of your love.

If you get a little tongue-tied when you try to express your affection for your spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend, you can instead let the jewelry gift do the talking for you. You could give an "I love you" necklace this Valentine's Day, for example. There are versions of this type of necklace that feature a locket-style pendant on a chain.

Once opened, on the inside of the locket one side reads "Always and Forever" with a heart, and on the other it proclaims "I Love You!" What lover would not be thrilled with such a thoughtful gift. It is truly an item that will be reached for each morning when getting dressed for the day, and it will put a smile on the face of the recipient each time she looks at it.

Another option would be to give an angel necklace. "Angel" is a diminutive that we sometimes give to the one we love, and if that is your nickname for your wife or girlfriend, you may want to impress upon her how much you care with an angel necklace, which will always remind her of you. There are beautiful chains, upon which various pendants of angels can be placed. Angel wings are a gorgeous option, as are guardian angel pendants. Several are available in a heart shape, with the angel engraved on the front. Additional precious gems may also adorn the pendant, adding to its luster.

Fine collectibles websites are the place to find outstanding Valentine's Day gifts for her, which she will enjoy wearing the year round.

In this article Jonathon Blocker writes about

Fashion : Cool Men's Clothes For A Night Out

Fashion : Cool Men's Clothes For A Night Out

Author: Mark Walters

Fashion can sometimes be a complicated business that, if you're not completely au fait with its weird ways of working, can seem a bit impenetrable. So wouldn't it be useful to have a guide to tell you the key components of, for example, putting together a great evening look? We think that shoes are a really important part of any man's evening style. You want a pair that go with everything, so try classic black leather in either lace-ups or slip on style.

Add to this great start with a brilliant sweater. We particularly love knitted V neck sweaters as they're really versatile and available in pretty much any color imaginable so you could always buy a few and then mix and match depending where you're going. You can also choose to get fine knit V necks that are great for evenings in spring or fall, as well as thicker knitted options that are perfect for keeping you warm and stylish in winter. They look good over either t shirt or dress shirt.

For a smart evening look that works no matter what you're doing or where you go, try getting a smart pair of dark pants that work with pretty much any outfit. Chinos are really good for more formal evenings out or, for a more casual approach that also works as a good smart alternative, a pair of dark denim jeans is always a good idea. These are classic items of clothing that you can guarantee will always be popular and will look great no matter what shirt you wear.

For a really fantastic jacket option for evening, you could try one of the classic styles of leather jacket available. You have loads of options here and can choose from jackets with zips or buttons as well as blazers, bomber jackets and more. If you get a good leather jacket, it will last for decades, so it's a good financial investment as well as a sure hit in terms of style. Traditional black leather is best, so try and keep things simple.

One last thing to complete your evening style is a couple of well-chosen accessories that can add instant sophistication to any outfit. For those chilly evenings, try adding a scarf for a great touch. For a cool masculine look, try a scarf with subtle stripes in a versatile color so you know it'll go with what you're wearing. You could also get yourself a decent watch with either a metal or leather strap, as this will add a touch of class to any look as well as being extremely versatile.

Men's T Shirts : What To Buy This Season

Men's T Shirts : What To Buy This Season

Author: Mark Walters

You may think that a t shirt is a t shirt and that's that. Well, there are, in fact, lots of different styles available for men. All of them have their place in men's fashion and are equally stylish. One of the most popular styles is the crew neck, which looks really great if you get one made out of cotton and keep it simple with block colors. You can choose from pretty much every color imaginable, so this is a really versatile style option that suits everyone.

Another great, interesting t shirt option is to get one with a printed design. These often work best as a variation on the crew neck and there are some fantastic designer options available if you're a man who likes his fashion and style. They're available with both designer logos and prints. You can also get printed tees of your favorite band or sports team, so choose from the massive array of designs and colors available and show your support in style.

Also an increasingly popular style option in the world of men's t shirts is the V neck. These used to be almost exclusively worn by women, but more and more they're being worn by men as well as they're really versatile. They're fantastic in bold colors and simple designs, so keep things as basic as you can. Try layering one over a plain, crew neck tee for a fantastic layered look, or why not show off a bit of chest hair by wearing it by itself?

Another really great option, particularly for those colder fall and winter days, is the long sleeved t shirt. They're also good for wearing on spring and summer evenings when you don't want to be laden down with a jacket but it's not quite warm enough to just wear a short sleeve tee. These look great with either jeans or smart pants, making them effortlessly stylish, especially if you go for a soft fabric such as cotton in a crew or V neck design.

Finally, as suggested above, layering your t shirts up can also be a really good look. This is extra great as it helps you keep warm while looking stylish. You could try layering t shirts of different colors over each other so you just see hints of the one underneath – especially great if you decide to go for bold, block colors. This can also be a really good way of creating a smart evening look when teamed with a nice pair of chinos.

Purple Fashion Tips

Purple Fashion Tips

Author: Amanda Roddy

When you get tired of all the selections that you have in your closet and would like to add a few interesting yet fresh options to it, purple may be a color worth studying. Even though the first thought that may come to your mind while reading this is that the writer is out of his mind, read on and think once more. Many people are choosing to adopt the unconventional purple because it creates an elegant and solid fashion affirmation.

The trick, however, is in the style you select the other accessories and how you mix your purple with other colors depending on the shade of purple you choose to wear. Other bright colors are a big no-no with purple. Pinks, oranges and red are color which you should not even give a single glimpse to while deciding to wear something purple.

If you are in the mode to wear a brilliant shade of purple, then you should study dark accessories or a black coat to go along. A black skirt / trouser with a light purple top will make you look like royalty. Dark purple, on the other hand, should be teamed with light neutral colors like ecru, cream and ivory. If you don't prefer to be ousted by your friends and colleagues in a social gathering pair purple only with blacks, brown, cream, beige, white or on the outside a tan color. At no cost should you include any other tinges.

If you are not positive about being able to select the right color blend and are not positive that you will be able to carry off a purple dress but still would like to flirt with the color, you could try adding a hint of purple to your attire by using purple accessories. These could be in the form of buttons, earrings, scarves or pins.

But this piece of advice does not imply that you guess out and wear purple socks or shoes to match your purple shirt. It will smack of being gaudy and tacky. Avoid purple shoes and any sort of purple dresses which are the same color from top to bottom. Too much of purple makes you look precisely the opposite of what you want to appear as. Purple should be used selectively with a certain slant to give a suggestion of jauntiness without seeming to be tacky.

The color purple is beautiful and men and women alike should use it. But still, judicious use of the color is essential to get the desires result.

Your Guide to Wearing Hats

Your Guide To Wearing Hats

Author: Joe Silla

Many women shy away from wearing hats simply because they honestly believe that they would not be able to pull off wearing one. To some women, hats call too much attention to themselves. Some women, on the other hand, just do not know how to wear a hat. It is a shame, actually, because a hat is a fashion accessory that every woman should have in her wardrobe.

Now, why is that? Why should a hat or two be part of a woman's wardrobe? One reason is that a hat is a great fashion accessory that can pull together an outfit and improve its overall look. The other reason is that a hat provides ample protection from the harmful rays of the sun, at a time when skin cancer is now a cause for fear and people are becoming aware of the dangers of exposing the skin to sunlight far too long.

In order to be able to pull off the look of an outfit with a hat, you only need to know how to wear one. The basic rule about wearing hats is that if you find the particular hat that you have got on quite comfortable and you feel confident about wearing it, then all other rules are canceled out. The most important thing about wearing hats is that you have to feel confident and comfortable with the hat you are wearing.

But if you are the type to pay attention to details, then read on.

One thing you should know about hats is that when you are shopping for a hat, you should pick a hat that matches the proportions of your face. You will be wearing your hat quite closely to your face and so the hat will draw attention to the features of your face. If your face is small, you should wear a small hat. If your face is wide, your hat should have a wide brim. A small hat on a wide face will make the face look wider; a big hat on a small face will drown the face.

The color of your hat should either complement or flatter your skin tone. If your skin is pale with rosy hues, then a pink or red or rust-colored hat would look nice on you. If your skin is dark or with yellow tones, you can wear just about any color hat but do try not to stick to just black.

If you are wearing solid colors, it would be nice to top off your outfit with a printed hat that combines together the colors you are wearing. You could also opt for a printed hat that provides a nice contrast to the colors of your outfit. Either way, your hat can make your outfit look nicer and much more interesting.

Try to avoid matching your hat's material with the material of your top or your jacket. You may end up overdoing the look. If you are wearing a leather jacket, try to go for a contrast and wear a tweed pageboy hat instead of something made also of leather. If you are wearing a tweed jacket, maybe a knitted cap would tie your outfit up and make it work.

Playing with contrasts is also a good thing to do when you are wearing a man's hat. If you want to wear a man's hat, like a fedora, you can go whimsical on it and wear pretty and really feminine earrings to soften the look. And of course, a dash of bright or warm lipstick and lengthening mascara will further feminize the look with the otherwise masculine hat.

Going for a casual look with just jeans and a plain T-shirt? You can dress up your denims by wearing a hat, maybe a pageboy or a hat with a wide brim. The overall impression would be a look that is casual, effortless and yet certainly more lively and interesting to the eyes.

You can go ahead and experiment with the kinds and styles of hats that you may want to match up with your outfit. However, here are a few things you ought to avoid when wearing a hat.

Always wear your hat in front of your head, fitting snuggly with your forehead. Only little girls wear their hats to the back of the head.

Shun retro hats and baseball caps as much as possible. Retro hats are out of style because they are out of style, if you get the drift. A baseball cap, on the other hand, will pull your style grade down a couple of notches rather than upgrade it. Unless you are going for a jog in your sweats or getting some yard cleaning or gardening done, avoid wearing baseball cap.

Lastly, do not turn to your hat to save your outfit if you think you have made a mistake in pulling clothes from your closet. If you think you are underdressed or overdressed, leave the hat off because it will only call more attention to your clothes.

Hats are great fashion accessories. You should go and get yourself a hat right away.

Finding The Perfect Unique Handbag

Finding The Perfect Unique Handbag

Author: lisa lucero
Almost everyone wants to have a unique handbag that one can sport in any casual outfit. However, purchasing handbags today are almost never unique because similar designs and colors are being manufactured from time to time. In order to be unique, you have to be creative in every purchase you make. Also, the place at which you are planning to purchase the bag can be a big factor in choosing a unique handbag.

Unique Handbag - Consider Vintage Buys

If you truly want to be one of a kind, you need to start some fashion statement that is far but not eccentric from the real fashion trend. This means that you have to add a tad of glitz and glamour in every bag you carry. For example, there are many bags sold today that are of different shapes and colors.

If you haven't seen one yet, try searching for the vintage "car" bags which are literally shaped as automobiles yet as convenient and adorable as the other handbags. Because the shape alone is far different from the other designs, you'd be sure to have the unique handbag that can make you stand out among the others.

Unique Handbag - Handcrafted Designs

For a more unique handbag, you can choose to handcraft it yourself and come up with several designs. You can choose to weave, stitch, and make use of some cottony materials like the denim so the making process can be easier. Crafting your own bag would not only provide you with a unique handbag but can also be a lot less costly for you.

Unique Handbag - Funky Designs

To ensure a unique handbag, you need to get yourself some funky designs that other people wouldn't be able to carry off that well. Printed bags for plain summer outfits are a great way to accessorize yourself. Choosing colors that are vibrant yet classy can also be a good way to choose handbags. Even a satchel handbag can make you stand out by adding bits of exceptional designs on it.

Unique Handbag - Travel to Other Countries

If you want a more unique handbag, you can travel to other countries and purchase your items from their. Today, the most commonly visited countries for their handbags are China, Singapore, and Thailand. Because they manufacture quite a number of handbag designs, you can choose from among the many options and decide which one can be the most exceptional item that you can bring to your country.

Milan Fashion Week - What's Blue in Giorgio Armani Spring Summer 2011 collection

Author: Kelly Moore

By using minimal to yards of clothes, Giorgio Armani showed his coming Spring Summer Collection in Milan. Named La Femme Bleue, his entire collection was inspired by the Tuareg people of Saharan North Africa, who generally wear indigo coloured robes around their head. So, don't wonder why a model who has donned an ultra chic dress is also sporting a turban that too in blue.

To beat the heat and feel the nip of air, Armani stressed more on loose outfits. The dresses ranged from glamorous to boho. Armani's signature tapered trousers as usual looked great on ramp and since the colour was indigo it gave it a classy feel. Fitted, ankle-skimming skirts were grace personified. While the smart cut semi-formal jackets just added to the class and style of the show.

Though blue was the dominating hue, buyers or admirers didn't feel blue or bore of the collectizin. If one of the models showed fitted pants, others walked in shimmery long slim attire. And as Tuaregs are basically nomads, Armani didn't miss out the gypsy connection. Armani is known for his neat style, no fuss creations and the structured pret-a-porter, this time too he didn't disappoint. Talking about the accessories it was fun to see them, scarves and stoles were in gems and beads as decorative neck-pieces.

Giorgio Armani didn't only show what's blue? But also that summer doesn't mean only skimpier clothes, comfortable fabrics in full length can work wonders in heat and dust. With his show the
Milan Fashion Week came to an end.

From Faux Pas to in Vogue: Socks with Sandals

Courtesy Post

Wearing socks and sandals has been one of the biggest known fashion faux pas for ages. However, fashion’s hottest designers decided to turn that faux pas into the hottest trend this year has seen. Rest assure that the sock trend doesn’t end this summer. You can keep wearing your fashion socks through winter with these easy tips.
Since we’ve been trying to avoid socks with sandals and ankle boots you should take these points into consideration. Wearing bunched socks can significantly shorten the appearance of legs. So if you don’t have model stems or defined ankles this can be tricky but not impossible. If you don’t have legs for days try wearing thigh high or mid calf socks over stockings or tights.
If you are looking for a few sock pointers keep color in mind. As a general sock rule you want to make sure there is contrast. As a rule of thumb (or toe) pair muted grays with light browns and tans, creams with pastels, and dark grays and blacks with chocolate browns.

Try experimenting with sock thickness as a means to go from an edgy look to a romantic feminine look. For a comfortable fall day look pair a cowl sweater dress with sheer black tights, gray thigh high socks and an edgy peep-toe boot like this combat inspired Reece Black Peep Toe Bootie alla Kelsi Dagger. If you are prepping an ultra feminine look for an evening out pair a pastel pink dress with bunched light brown socks over grey thigh high socks and champagne wedges.
The sock and sandal trend is all about chic confidence. Texture plays a big role in statement socks and this fall it has the ability to transform your everyday looks.

CP -The Best Items to Help you Wash your Dog

Courtesy Post

Dogs aren’t exactly the cleanest animals and your dog would probably prefer to be much dirtier than you would like him to be. If you have ever tried to give a dog a bath before, you know that it can be a lot of work, especially if your dog is a larger breed. You may have thought about giving up on washing your dog yourself and just taking him to the groomer, but those costs can add up quickly. Having the right tools can make washing your dog a lot more simple and, believe it or not, more enjoyable.

Having the right dog brush is one of the most important tools throughout the dog washing process. We recommend a combination dog brush which has bristles on one side and pins on the other which is convenient because you can change which side you use depending on your dog grooming needs. Brushing your dog before his bath is important because it will prevent his fur from getting clumps and matting which will be difficult to detangle once he gets wet. You should also brush his fur after his bath to complete his clean, fresh look and to get out any tangles that may have happened during his bath.
An indoor/outdoor pet sprayer is a convenient tool that will make rinsing your dog easier. You can attach the hose to any water source, such as a sink or a garden hose. The water will come out of a sprayer which will provide a gentle, yet strong stream to make your dog comfortable and clean.
A dog bathing tether is one of the most useful tools to make washing your dog easier. A dog bathing tether is a set of straps that attach to your dog’s collar and have suction cups at the other end that attach to your tub. These keep your dog in the tub so that he can’t escape from his dreaded bath time.

Although having a clean dog is the most important part of giving your dog a bath, having your dog smell good is a great perk! A medicated dog shampoo is important when giving your dog a bath. Medicated dog shampoo will kill bacteria and fungi that could cause skin infections. Make sure to use a dog shampoo and not a human shampoo because many human shampoos can cause allergic reactions to dogs. Also, there is a wide variety of dog colognes and perfumes which can keep your dog smelling great in between baths.

The last thing you will need to finish your dog’s bath is a microfiber pet towel. Dogs usually love to shake excess water out of their fur which makes a mess for you to clean up after. Even after you dry your dog with a regular towel, your bathroom gets soaked. With a microfiber pet towel, your dog will dry much quicker than normal as the microfiber material is much more absorbent.
While bath time can be a chore, it is also a great time to bond with your dog and it can save you a lot of money on dog grooming bills.

Courtesy Post - 5 celebration ideas for Father’s Day

Mother’s Day has come and gone, and now it’s nearly dad’s turn. This year, Father’s Day falls on Sunday, June 20 — how do you plan on honoring the man in your life? Here are our five celebration ideas for Father’s Day:

  1. Sporting event: If dad yelling at the television screen during a sporting event is a regular sight, he’ll surely appreciate the opportunity to yell during a live sporting event. Pick up tickets to your hometown baseball team’s game — the Braves, Cardinals, Yankees are just a few of the teams playing on Father’s Day. Check out the MLB schedulehere.
  2. Grill out: In my family, dad does all the grilling. On Father’s Day, switch it up a bit and do the grilling for dad. Pick up his favorite drinks and “grillables” and let him kick back while you do the work. If he wants to take part in the grilling process, surprise him with a Grillfinity barbecue tool set!
  3. _____-ery tour: Depending on what his choice of drink is, you might want to take dad to a local winery or brewery for a tour. If the place you pick out happens to be closed on Father’s Day, present him with a beer sampler or a California Wine Club membership.
  4. Outdoor adventure: With Father’s Day falling in June, the weather is perfect for enjoying the outdoors. Whether he likes hiking, fishing or kayaking, let Dad lead the way for the day — just try to keep up!
  5. Date night: If you’re honoring your husband, partner, father of your children (etc., etc.), a much-deserved date night might be the way to go. Hire a babysitter for the night, make a reservation at the restaurant of his choice and pay for a night out on the town. Read More
