Best Lip Glosses

Best Lip Glosses

By Kayla Block

Lip gloss is a hugely popular cosmetic item that was invented in 1930. Max Factor, the founder of Max Factor cosmetics, invented it in order to make actresses look better on film. Moist lips are associated with sex appeal and he wanted the actresses in Hollywood to look their sexy best in the black and white films being made at the time. Max Factor's original gloss was sold all the way until 2003 when it was finally taken off the market.

In more recent times, lip plumpers have become popular since full, pouty lips are also considered to be a sign of sex appeal. Some women will get lip injections to make their lips appear fuller. But lip plumper can provide a bit of that same effect at a more reasonable cost and without the risk of injection. Lip plumpers work because they have a mild irritant in them. The either use something cooling and minty, or something spicy and a bit hot. If one type of lip plumper is too irritating to your lips, try a different brand. Ideally, you can go somewhere and try it out before you make your purchase.

For many teenage girls, gloss is their very first makeup that they're allowed to wear. And this is because many many times they provide just a touch of color and can help keep lips soft. Lip gloss tends to look more natural than lipstick, though it depends on the specific form of lip gloss that you choose.

There are many different types of gloss on the market and they can be applied in different ways. Chapstick or lip balm is closely related to gloss, but used primarily to provide protection from the sun, wind and other elements to help keep your lips soft. Some lip glosses cross over a bit into lip balm.

Some lip glosses are squeezed out of a tube, directly onto the lips. Others are in a more semi solid form and can be applied like a lip balm or you can put a bit on your finger and then apply softly to your lips. There are also a variety of types of applicators with the most common being a sponge applicator. But there are also some that use brushes.

The glosses will depend on what you want from your makeup. If you're just looking for some shine on top of your lipstick, your needs will be different than someone who is looking for more color pay off. Most lip glosses are relatively sheer but some have more pigment. Also, some of the best lip glosses also provide moisturizing or healthful ingredients like vitamins or emollients.

Another thing that can really vary with different glosses is texture. I like something that has a bit of tack to it because I think it lasts longer. But other people think the best gloss has a smooth texture.

Many of MAC's lip glosses (Dazzleglass, etc), have a pearlescent effect to them for a very different look. Be cautious with pearl lip glosses as they can end up looking rather lurid in front of the camera.

Sexy Lips- No More a Dream

Sexy Lips- No more a dream

Author: Editor123

Appealing lips play a significant role in enhancing the overall beauty of women. With the advent of advanced lip care products such as lip plumpers, attaining sexy lips is no more a dream for those who fear to undergo Lip Augmentation. Using lip plumper is a non-invasive method of making the lips physically fuller and that too instantly.

Lip plumpers are revolutionary cosmetic products that keep your lips moist and fuller for long hours. Their triple action formula results in enhanced lip volume, improved hydration and reinforcement of lip contour. These products offer a nourishing treatment to the lips which strengthens them along with making them full and soft.

A lip plumper gives the dull and pale lips a new life with its natural nourishing effect combined with modern technology. It contains natural cacao, vegetable glycerin, Shea butter, vegetable oil and vitamins as its main constituents which provide a comprehensive treatment to nourish the lips.

Furthermore, a lip plumper offers an instant plumping effect with a physical change in volume of water within the lips. Better penetration of microspheres results in rapid and soft augmentation of lips in a natural way, lasting for hours. Also, lip plumpers strengthen the connective tissues by stimulating the production of fresh collagen fibers.

Many a times, people get confused between lip plumping product and lip gloss. There is just a small line of demarcation between the two. While a lip gloss makes the lips appear soft and glossy, a lip plumping product makes the lips physically soft, full and moisturized. Thus, lip plumping products are called lip care products.

Lip plumping products are available in huge variety. Hence, while purchasing a lip fusion plumper, one should read the ingredients used in its manufacturing. A lip plumper with natural ingredients is the considered the best. In addition to that, these lip care products are available in spectrum of shades ranging from colorless and translucent to opaque and tint. A translucent lip plumper can be worn alone just like a lip gloss or may be applied before using a lipstick. However, a colored lip fusion plumper is usually worn alone just like a lipstick.
