Cuffed in Style

CUFFED IN STYLE

By Carly Phillips

No outfit is complete without the finishing touches, whether it is for a big girly night out, a family dinner or even for a normal day at work – it adds that special something which makes you stand out from the crowd. Not only do you feel good at the time, but the fun of it is in choosing the look itself – taking inspiration from the glossy images of the beautiful fashion icons of today.
Jewellery is now an affordable indulgence for everyone, despite it originally being a domain that only the richest of people could benefit from. Thanks to the arrival of costume jewellery, any woman - no matter what her budget - can add that touch of luxury to an outfit with a piece of jewellery, even as simple as just a bracelet.

There are so many styles of Fashion Bracelets to choose from, a dainty silver bangle, a personal charm bracelet or even a chunky beaded cuff can add a special touch to your outfit – no matter whether you are in your work outfit or party wear.
The woman to look to for ideas on how and what to wear when it comes to accessories is, of course, Cheryl Cole. Loved by men and women she has become a fashion icon to people of all ages, continually gracing our magazines with fashion easily imitated by the public. She has been known to wear sparkling bangles to offset simple dresses, or to wear charm bracelets with personal choices of charms which meanings even the press can’t guess.

Since her wedding, Kim Kardashian has been even more photographed than ever – and has a bold style which will continue to be copied constantly. She favours statement pieces which draw attention to the arms. Beads, semi-precious stones and crystals are all used to create a perfect piece, which she then layers them up to make it even more distinct. Along with these modern looks she also takes inspiration from the effortless style of the 1930s and has been known to even wear bejewelled armlets for that Grecian style which is timeless.

Pixie Lott is known for not only having a beautiful voice but a beautiful everything else too! In true Pixie form, she often goes for delicate bracelets, which add a touch of glamour to her outfit. Usually silver, she ranges from chains, links and cords but has also been known to go for a heavy wooden bangle which emphasises her dainty features.
The choice is limitless, department stores, stalls, online shopping and jewellery shops all house any type of bracelet imaginable. Vintage style jewellery to add a princess feel to modern cuffs which weigh down your arm but look fabulous. So many different materials can be used, from wood to thread, and beads from all over the world you will find something to fit any outfit no matter what the occasion. Give yourself the option for statement or just the one special piece by layering up to the extent that you want.

There is no such thing as a wrong answer when it comes to style, whether you want to put all of your prized possessions on at once so you feel like a superstar, or just the one statement piece to accentuate your features, as long as it makes you feel just as special and glamorous as you are it is doing the right thing.

Pippa Middleton's sensational appearance as maid of honour at her sister Kate's wedding to Prince William captured the attention of both the public and press and made her an overnight star with legions of devoted fans. Pippa Middleton’s fashion styles are a combination of simplicity, elegance and individuality and have inspired women all over the world to emulate her impeccable dress sense. Even before her wedding day, older sister Kate had gained a reputation as a modern British fashion icon. Engaged to the country's most eligible man and the subject of much media scrutiny, her understated elegance and classic style, which showed her slender physique off to perfection, gained the admiration of even the most outspoken fashion critics.

In the weeks leading up to the event, speculation about her wedding gown was rife, with every detail, including the identity of the designer, kept secret. Expectations were high, and she didn't disappoint, wowing the crowds, her new husband and millions of viewers with an exquisite satin and lace dress, designed by Sarah Burton, creative director for the Alexander McQueen fashion label.

Less expected, however, was the impact made by the younger Middleton sister, who emerged from the wedding car in a stunning figure-hugging cream gown, which was both demure and sexy and perfectly suited to the occasion. Although already well known in the London social scene, her appearance at the wedding catapulted her into the role of international celebrity, and won her many ardent admirers, mostly male. With her close connection to royalty, she has been in the public eye for some time and has been photographed at numerous social events. She has her own unique sense of style, and favours tailored outfits which compliment her slim figure and beautiful olive skin tone. For casual occasions she likes to wear chic slim fitting pants and tops in clean colours with ballet flats in warmer weather and knee high boots in the winter. Well chosen accessories such as chunky belts and Fashion Jewellery complete the look and add a touch of individuality to the outfit. Her evening wear consists of slinky but stylish dresses, often with plunging necklines or high hemlines. While the cut is still classic and slim fitting, she likes to add a touch of flamboyance with vibrant colours, interesting prints or extra design features such as frills on the skirt. Her jewellery on these occasions tends to be modest and tasteful.

Fashion Accessories play an important part in Pippa's wardrobe, and she knows how to make the most of any outfit by adding the right Tote Handbag, hat, shoes and jewellery. While these pieces never overpower her clothes, they do help make her stand out and give her a look that is all her own. Pippa's style is easy to follow and does not cost a fortune. Casual Wear- Spring Legging Styles

Casual Wear- Spring Legging Styles

Author: Jennifer

If you are like me, you likely can't wait for spring to get here. Although there are some great fashions available for winter wear, it can easily become boring with the lack of color and different fabric options. When spring is just around the corner I begin to think about my different spring fashion options and just like in the winter, my leggings are my first choice. Don't be fooled into thinking that leggings are just for winter, there is an entirely different way to wear leggings once the warmer months of the year role around and I am here to help you learn how.

Crop leggings are my first choice for the warmer weather. You will find that the thick wool and cotton leggings become scarce in the spring and summer and you are left with the yoga style leggings. These leggings are made of spandex for the most part and in many cases are one size fits all. This breathable material makes it the perfect pair of leggings for the warm days as well as the cool nights; very versatile. Leggings take casual wear to an entirely new level.

With crop leggings you can be cool and still wear your favourite tunics. For many people their tunics may be geared towards the winter and I am going to suggest tunic style tank tops to replace these. The tunic tanks on the market today come in incredibly bold colors and can easily be layered to create that casual clothing look we all love so much. If you are looking for a t-shirt style tunic these are available in just as many colors and patterns as the tanks. Tunics are everywhere today and the variety is not likely to diminish any time soon. With so much variety you can easily create a number of different outfits utilizing the same pair of leggings and several different tops.

What you may see in the fashion world today are leggings worn under skirts for women. The mini skirt has made its return to the fashion world and although it is a hot trend, it is one some women are a bit uncomfortable with. With this being said, you can easily take advantage of this trend by layering your favourite mini skirt with a pair of cropped leggings so you can have the best of both worlds without having to worry about being covered. This is a popular trend that looks incredibly hot, especially with denim miniskirts.

Casual clothing for women is not about sweat pants and oversized shirts that cover up your shape. Today the tunics on the market are form fitting and create a slimming look that can only be achieved through a small number of fashion pieces. Leggings can be cropped or full length but are still great accessories to your spring and summer wardrobe. Invest in a great pair of summer leggings and put your wool leggings way for the winter.
