How To Work At Home With Style

Are you a work at home mom? Do you inspire to be home with your children? Well, I'm a work at home mom and I can truthfully say that you have to know exactly what you are getting yourself into. A lot of people think that just because you are a work from home mamma that you don't do anything all day but lay on the catch and eat chips and dips.

So, let me shed a few lights on the matter. When you are a mom and an entrepreneur, there is no such thing as being lazy. You have laundry to do, take care of the kids, and try to build a business from the ground up. Also, while you are yet getting excited about your business, if you spend too much time on your business than your house hold chores will go undone. We all know that if the house is smelling and no dinner is cooked, then when your spouse or boyfriend comes home, What do we hear ladies, "what have you been doing all day? "... I know for me, i have heard that a few times and that is something that i don't like to hear. In my mind, I'm building my business and I'm so excited that sometimes i forget about other things.

Since, becoming a mom entrepreneur, I have learned so much about prioritize my work and family life! So I wanted to share with you how I work at home with style and grace.

Write a to-do-list and separate it into three categories:

First, put a section for personal; in this list, you can list things that you need to do for yourself like: have prayer, me-time, or workout. In this section, you can go further to list anything that will help you to keep yourself uplifted, motivated, or just to get your mind right.

Second Session should be Family: Write down everything that you want to accomplish with your family. Start with the most important things first, like cooking dinner, breakfast, or lunch, whether it's spending time with your spouse, kids, or etc. Putting this on your list helps you stay organized and on schedule.

Lastly, your business. List the most important things you need to get done first, so by the time the evening comes, if you haven't completed something on your list, you will at least have the most important tasks done.

Show Gratitude:

Have an attitude of gratitude. This is something that I must do on a daily basis. Kinda like setting the tone for the entire day. Every morning when I wake up, i head straight to my office (a.k.a.-my santuary) and kneel down to give thanks. I give thanks for everything including the things that we often take for granted like the use of my five senses. I can see, smell, touch, here, and taste and for that I'm always grateful. I even go so far as to write down everything that i can think of that I'm grateful for just to make sure i don't give the Devil any room to creep in.

Dress with style and class:

What I mean by this is to get up and put something nice on. Now, I'm not saying you have to put on a three piece suit, but at least look presentable. I've found for me, it helps me to put something cute on and do my hair. It just makes me feel good when I'm smelling good, looking good and in the end, it makes me feel good. So, if a client decided to drop by unannounced, I wouldn't scare them at the door. But, let's keep it real, there are those days that i end up staying in my pajamas because I'm not feeling well, but i still want to get some things done in my business. I love the way my business is setup because I don't have any demands on what to wear and what not to wear, but all at the same time, I do run a successful business, so I try 90% of the time to look like it. So, don't feel bad if you work in your sweats or pajamas every once in a while; it's totally understandable.

Outsource your duties:

This one is my all time best one because i had to learn how to do this one. See, I'm the type of woman who wears multiple hats with style and it shows. I would wake up early in the morning clean the entire house, get the kids off to school and honey off to work all in less than a couple of hours. Now, before you say anything, I already know that I need to take some time for me. So, just recently I had the scare of my life, I collapsed in my bedroom feeling like the entire room was spinning, so yes that landed me on a week or two vacation (but not the kind of vacation I had in mind). I had been so busy taking care of everyone else that I left out the most important ingredient of the equation, ME. Moms, you know you can relate to this by trying to do and be everything to everybody and just tell yourself that you're good. while in reality you know you are not. I have since then made a commitment to myself and to God to always take better care of myself and to workout at least three times per week with less fried foods.

I really wanted to show you that just because you are a work at home mom and not in your typical 9-5 setting that you still can work with style and grace! What are some ways you work with style and grace at your home based business?
