All delicious tropical fruits can be preserved by freezing them. Whenever there is a need for a great beverage and you only have ten minutes of time, fruit smoothie recipes will come in very useful. You'll need a powerful kitchen blender to blend up this recipe. Of course you'll need a tall chilled glass and a spoon to help get the smoothie out. There are a lot of really delicious flavors that you can add to the ingredients to make your fruit smoothie taste so very good.

Kiwi Strawberry Smoothie

A great fruit to start with is red frozen strawberries. These frozen varieties are able to be procured at a grocery store. You can also look at throwing in green frozen kiwis. These varieties can be procured at a grocery store as well. You can check the label on the packages you buy to see the high level of nutrients in these fruits.

First add one cup of crushed ice into the blender for the kiwi strawberry smoothie. Measure out a cup of frozen strawberry, and take the frozen kiwi slices, measuring one cup there as well, and place them in the blender. To add additional flavor, place a tablespoon of honey and one of lime juice into the mix. These also help to bring out the kiwi sour taste. Turn your blender to high until everything is really smooth. An additional option would be to add a teaspoon of a fifteen percent volume alcoholic beverage. Blend again until smooth.

You also need to slice up a lemon and slip one of the slices onto your glass. Pour out your smoothie into two cups with the lemon slice on the side. This will serve two individuals.

Mango-Papaya Smoothie

Another popular frozen smoothie can be made with yellow frozen mangos. You can buy mangos easily at the grocery store. Frozen orange colored papaya also makes a tasty smoothie ingredient. You won't have any trouble finding these at the grocery store either. The packaging again will tell you all about the nutritional value of these fruits.

For the mango/papaya smoothie, insert 1 cup of crushed ice into a blender. Place one cup of frozen mango slices, take the frozen papaya slices, measure one cup and place it all in the blender. Add a tablespoon of lime juice, and a table spoon of sugar. The flavor of the papaya is enhanced with this sweet taste. Blend at high speed until fully crushed. If you want some alcohol in this smoothie, you can add that as well. 15% alcohol percentage and a teaspoonful is good. Blend again until smooth.

You can garnish your glass with a nice slice of fresh pineapple. Simply cut off a small slot. Pour the mixture into two glasses with the pineapple accessory. This recipe makes enough for two people.
