CP - Bridezilla’s Fall Bridal Fashion Picks

Courtesy Post

In the flutter of a false eyelash, wedding season came and went. But don’t fret over those fading tanlines – fall has arrived in all of its entire pumpkin scone, sweater weather, golden-leaf glory. Autumn weddings are my personal favorite – it’s not makeup-melting hot outside, the scenery is breathtaking, and you can stuff your face then hide the extra pounds under a cardigan. Three cheers for fall!

Let’s check out the season’s wedding fashions:

Short and sugary sweet

Maybe you should fret over that fading tan because this season, skin is in. The mini dress turned up everywhere at fashion week, which means they’ll be parading down an aisle near you in 2011. It’s all about the little white dress with the bigger-than-life bow. If you dare to wear and can pull it off without a strong marshmallow resemblance, go for it.

Sure the gowns are seriously short, but the payoff is extraordinary. The right mini-dress is playful and sophisticated. And you won’t have to drag your train around on the dance floor or spend hours fiddling with the bustle. You will probably have to shave your legs. Hopefully you planned to anyway.

Show your backsidecalvin klein satin gown

Most brides rarely even consider the back of a wedding gown but it’s oh-so important because during your wedding ceremony, guests see the back more than the front. During fall, bridal dress designers pay full attention to the back: swirling tulle layers, demure details, dramatic beading and bows. So turn around, bright eyes, and show off that decked-out dairy aire. (Editor’s pick: Check out the simple yet elegant back of this Calvin Klein satin gown.)

Get jazzy with jewel tones

Electric jewel tones jazz up fall bridal fashion – vibrant greens, reds, and turquoise (tons of turquoise) are the colors to watch for this autumn. We love that brides are going big with their color choices. Sure, retro is all the rage but be weary of the 80s prom effect. Balance the bold colors with softer hues and silver sparkles. Two jewel tones may be one too much.
