CP - Simple and Chic Wedding Decor For Less

The most effective thing you can do to lover your decorating costs is to choose a wedding venue that naturally beautiful, such as a garden overlooking a scenic landscape. If the site is already beautiful when it’s bare bones, you can get away with just a few simple, decorations.

Use decorations only at the key focal points like the altar, reception tables, and cake cutting table. Don’t spend money on decorations for obscure areas that most guests won’t even notice because they’re too busy socializing and paying attention to your focal point areas.

Decorate your reception with the food you are serving your guests. I know this sounds odd, but having fruit platters or rich artisan breads on each table, looks beautiful. Small bowls of candy and mints also make great decorations.

Try and reuse your decorations whenever possible throughout the event. Why buy flower arrangements for the ceremony and the reception site? Have a family member a couple of close friends take the arrangement to the reception. You can also have your bridesmaids use their bouquets as table decorations after the ceremony is over… they won’t want to hold on to them all night anyhow.
