CP - Red Lipstick For Any Skin Tone

Courtesy Post

Mention red lipstick and the first image that comes to my mind is Marilyn Monroe’s famous pout as she stood with her white dress billowing about her. There’s something so sexy and eye-catching about perfectly applied red lipstick. Most women long to carry off the look but shy away.
Red lipstick, like the Revlon matte lipstick, is the flavor of the season when it comes to lip color. All you need to know is which shade of red suits your skin tone and hair color, and how you should apply the lipstick. Unsure of how to go about it? Well, help is at hand.
For all you blonde fair ladies, choose a lip color in true red with just a dash of blue in it. Those with medium complexion and light hair have the good fortune of being able to get away with a large palette of colors. For example you could opt from reds with hints of orange or purple. If you are blonde with a warm skin tone or a redhead, opt for orange based poppy red or shades of coral, to give a warm glow to your face.
Fair complexioned brunettes will look stunning in darker hues of red for example cherry red or burgundy. If you have dark hair and medium colored skin, look for reds with a hint of blue or berry colors. Endowed with dark hair and skin? Plum lipstick is the way to go.
Remember to exfoliate your lips before applying the red lipstick. Choose a lip liner of the same color or a shade lighter, and apply along your natural lip line. Then fill in your lipstick with a lip brush and blend with the liner. Finally top it off with a Nars lip gloss to give it that extra shine.
Now, go ahead and flaunt your luscious red lips to your hearts content!
