$7 A Meal Healthy Recipes

Three Bean Chili






Serves 6



2 tablespoons of olive oil

1 yellow onion, chopped

1 package taco seasoning

2 15 oz. cans dark red kidney beans, drained

2 15 oz. cans black beans, drained

2 15 oz. cans white beans, drained

2 14 oz. canned diced tomatoes with green chiles, undrained

1 cup of water






For added protein and flavor, add ground beef or ground turkey right after you saute' the onions. Cook for about 5 to 6 minutes until cooked through, then add remaining ingredients and finish cooking as directed.



In heavy saucepan over medium heat, add olive oil and saute' onion until tender, about 4 to 5 minutes. Sprinkle taco seasoning mix over onions, cook and stir for 1 minute. Add drained beans, tomatoes, and water, Bring to simmer, cook for 10 to 12 minutes, until thickened and blended.
